Korn’s Unplugged appearance is now showing on-line at unplugged.mtv.com, and its on-air premiere is March 2nd @ 11:30 pm EST.
“MTV Unplugged: KORN” features acoustic performances of the band’s hits, along with several new songs. The performance includes guest appearances from Robert Smith of The Cure, and from Amy Lee of Evanescence who lends vocals to “Freak on a Leash.” The album version will also include Korn’s cover of “Creep” by Radiohead.
Korn “MTV Unplugged” Track-listing:
1. Blind
2. Freak on a Leash
3. Falling Away From Me
4. Creep
5. Love Song
6. Got The Life
7. Twisted Transistor
8. Coming Undone
10. Throw Me Away
Now, I’m a huge fan of the classic Nirvana & Alice in Chains Unplugged shows, but I’m not quite sure how I feel about Korn doing it knowing how massive their sound is live/on studio recordings. Plus, Robert Smith & Amy Lee don’t scream out metal to me, so I’m worried this is a last ditch effort by the band to attract non-metal fans.
Curiously missing from the mix is Korn drummer David Silveria, who is “taking a break” from the band and won’t even play on their next studio album. First Head, now Silveria? At this rate, they’ll be touring as “Jonathan Davis’ Korn” and playing Magic Mountain in a few years.

Dear Korn, Please start using drugs again. Not only for me, but for all of your fans.
