Machine Head Hate the Haters
A new Machine Head song “Aesthetics of Hate” is now available for download here (free registration is required). The track comes off of the new album “The Blackening” (due out March 27th on Roadrunner) and was inspired by the article “Aesthetics of Hate: R.I.P. Dimebag Abbott, & Good Riddance” written by William Grim for some conservative web site a couple of days after Dime was killed. The song thankfully is a big “Fuck you!” to Grim from MH mainman Rob Flynn.
Flynn told MTV.com “It basically said that Dime was untalented and that he reaped what he sowed. It’s one thing to have an opinion about an artist, but the thing that was the most offensive to me was how it then went on to cast this huge generalization over the metal community, calling us pathetic for mourning his death. He called us all ugly and fat. I wanted to punch the fucking computer screen when I read that article.”
